CAT DOZERS USED FOR FIGHTING FIRES

Cat^® dozers are usually at work as construction earthmoving machines--building roads, clearing land for large civil engineering projects, in quarries or mines.  The Texas A&M Forest Service, however, employs Cat® bulldozers in a different capacity:  these machines fitted with safety cages are critical for putting fire breaks in place.  Read more here.
