A Mother-Daughter Team: Gloria Avila and Raven Snyder

At HOLT CAT, a division of HOLT Group, it’s not just about the work we do, it’s about the people we do it with. Meet Gloria Avila and Raven Snyder – two team members who just happen to be family. Gloria began her career with HOLT as a temp before transitioning into various roles supporting different departments throughout her 8.5 years with the company. Currently, she is an Operations Support Coordinator in which she builds contracts for our IronPro services.

Raven grew up watching her mom's professional growth at HOLT. She was her mom’s cheerleader, and she would encourage her mom before various interviews saying “You’ve been moving up all these years! You can do it again!” Inspired by her mom’s success, Raven aimed to be the best. She graduated in the top 10% of her class in both high school and college. Following graduation, Raven joined HOLT CAT as a Field Maintenance Coordinator, where she manages the service schedule of the Field Maintenance Technicians that provide all IronPro services. When Raven first began in her role, they had no idea how many opportunities they would have to work together. “It was funny because I was in training, and all of a sudden my Mom’s name comes up on the screen!”, Raven said. Raven’s trainer then informed her that the services she schedules are based on the contracts her mom builds for the customer.

Gloria and Raven expressed excitement for their collaboration because now Gloria can directly see how her work on contracts impacts the service team. Their strong and loving relationship as Mother and daughter has built the foundation for clear and open communication between the two. Raven shared that, “It’s different when you have a Mom and daughter working together. You know how the other person is, what is frustrating, and how to break things down in a terminology they understand.” They are thrilled for the opportunity to help each other and are confident that they will find success as colleagues and as a family. Raven expressed that, "Working with my Mom has made our relationship even stronger and has brought a lot of joy to me."
