Sonya has been a proud member of the HOLT CAT team for 32 years. On February 3rd of 1992, she joined the Fort Worth store as a cashier, currently known as a Parts Coordinator, and has grown in that role throughout her time in the organization.

Through the years she was able to be a part of many changes at her store. The first was when the Fort Worth store, previously part of Darr Equipment, was acquired by HOLT CAT. She also supported the parts department through two separate remodels since the acquisition, not to mention the continual growth with the use of technology. Throughout all the changes, Sonya’s admiration for those on her team was always a constant.

She shared that she is grateful for the Fort Worth Parts department and that the team members will always have a special place in her heart. It is where she met her beloved husband of 22 years, Gwyn Culpepper, who retired from HOLT CAT as a Parts Warehouse Supervisor in 2022. She also met Michelle Richmond who has been one of Sonya’s greatest supporters in and outside of the office. The Fort Worth store is also where she met Bryan Sharpe and Neal Pargmann who have become inspiring mentors to Sonya throughout her career. In her own words:

“I want to thank everyone that has been a part of my adventure at both Darr Equipment and HOLT CAT. I would not be who I am today had it not been for the wonderful employees that have each other’s back every day. Everyone I have met along this journey made the job enjoyable; from supporting young employees who wish to better themselves to becoming the best of friends with my co-workers. It is these individuals that are why I have stayed all these years. I’d like to give a special THANK YOU shoutout to Bryan Sharpe, Michelle Richmond, and Neal Pargmann for their patience while training me when something new needed to be done. I love you all and wish everyone in the best.”
