HOLT CAT, the authorized Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for 118 counties across South, Central, North and East Texas, has celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in Waxahachie, Texas.
The location fills a gap south of Dallas and continues HOLT CAT’s strategic expansion across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, a region seeing steady growth in industrial demand. It follows the November 2025 opening of a 79,000-square-foot HOLT CAT facility in Anna, Texas.
Peter J. Holt, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of HOLT Group, said the company is proud to unveil its newest location and join the business community in Waxahachie. He noted that the state-of-the-art facility expands HOLT CAT’s presence in North Texas and allows the team to serve customers with the equipment and support their businesses need to grow.
The new campus includes a 4,943-square-foot sales office, an 8,966-square-foot parts warehouse and a 16,564-square-foot shop with 10 service bays. The parts warehouse will be overseen by Luis Huerta, who joined HOLT CAT nearly 10 years ago while he was enrolled in the welding program at Dubiski Career High School.
Huerta said he looks forward to creating that same kind of opportunity for the Waxahachie community by training a strong local team and being “a reliable partner our customers can count on.”
The Waxahachie location sells, services and rents heavy equipment, trucks and trailers, engines and generators for the construction, earthmoving, mining, industrial, petroleum and agriculture industries. HOLT CAT also sells Cat machine, engine, truck and generator parts in the Waxahachie area.
Driven by population and business growth, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex ranks among the fastest growing metro areas in the nation according to U.S. Census Bureau data, fueling the growth of the surrounding cities.
The celebration took place at the new facility, with remarks from Peter J. Holt and J.K. Baxter. The Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce led the ribbon cutting.
