HOLT CAT broke ground on one of the largest expansions in the company's history--a 40,000-square-foot facility at its San Antonio headquarters, to replace an outdated service shop built in 1957.
With 16 air-conditioned bays that can accommodate as many as 40 machines, the new building will expand Holt Cat’s service capacity by 40 percent, the company said.
The expansion is valued at about $11 million and is part of an overall effort to upgrade a number of its facilities. In January HOLT CAT broke ground on an $8.5 million, 38,000-square-foot facility in Edinburg, and last month began work on a $13 million, 52,000-square-foot store in Little Elm to serve northern Dallas-Fort Worth.
Construction on the new shop in San Antonio should be complete late in the second quarter of 2014.
