Michael McMahon, a HOLT CAT employee for the last 15 years, has been promoted to Regional Parts Manager for the Northern Region. He will manage all parts operations out of Irving, Fort Worth, Little Elm, Lewisville, North Dallas, and Bridgeport.
McMahon’s career in heavy equipment began while serving his country for seven years as a diesel mechanic in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the military, he wanted to take what he learned in the service and apply it to his next career path.
He landed a job in the oil and gas industry until one day he came across a HOLT recruiter at a luncheon.
“The rest was history,” McMahon said. “I came to work at HOLT CAT and started working on machines. I fell in love with it.”
McMahon has served various roles such as Field Service Technician, Shop Service Manager, and Field Service Manager. He’s now ready for his next task as the new Regional Parts Manager of the Northern Region. With past experience in service and repairs, McMahon will bring that knowledge as he also looks to grow everyday.
“I’m looking forward to learning and working with everybody on the parts side,” McMahon said. “It’s about being a sponge and absorbing all of the information that they have. I think that part of the new role is my favorite.”
McMahon has thrived for the last two and a half years as a Field Service Manager in Irving, building tight-knit relationships with customers and employees to ensure that all service needs are fulfilled.
“I am thankful to the leaders that helped me achieve my goals,” McMahon said. “They see where you want to go, they’ve played such a pivotal role for me not only as an employee, but as a human.”
Michael is a proud husband and father of three kids, with two teenage sons who are in high school, and one 11-year-old daughter. McMahon’s sons play high school football, and he enjoys going hunting and spending quality time with the people closest to him.
But, to McMahon, his family has grown through HOLT.
“You aren’t coming to work with employees. I come to work with family,” McMahon said. “That’s the culture we have at HOLT.”
