All in the Family: The Saldanas Find Their Home at HOLT CAT

This Mother's Day, we're proud to share the inspiring story of Amy Saldana and her daughter, Chloe, who not only work for HOLT Group but also found a supportive community within our company.

The Saldana family had moved to San Antonio in 2015. In 2018, after hearing that HOLT CAT, a division of HOLT Group, was hiring, Amy jumped on the opportunity and has been serving within the Fleet Service department since.  Her extensive experience in the trucking industry, starting back in Green Bay, Wisconsin, proved to be an asset as she gained the knowledge and skills that kick started her career. Amy has always been grateful for the collaborative spirit at HOLT. "I never felt alone," she says, "There was always someone ready and willing to help… We all work together." This sense of teamwork extends beyond the Fleet Services department.  Amy shares a space at the San Antonio Headquarters with colleagues from Marketing, Customer Service, and Texas First Rentals. She feels the entire operation functions as a cohesive unit, with the company's culture and family values creating a comfortable and supportive environment.

Witnessing this positive experience firsthand and wanting to pursue the technical field, Amy's daughter Chloe, a recent engineering graduate from the University of North Texas, knew HOLT CAT would be a great place to start her career. When a Parts Cashier position became available at the Little Elm store, Chloe didn't hesitate. She knew she could look forward to a positive experience. Since joining the team in September 2023, Chloe has thrived in her role supporting customers and gaining valuable insights into the industry.

While Amy and Chloe may work in different departments, Amy supporting technicians and Chloe most often supports customers, they have a good understanding of what the other does.  They share a close bond and regularly communicate, debriefing each other's day at 5:15 pm. Whether celebrating accomplishments or brainstorming solutions to challenges, they provide unwavering support for each other. As Amy sums it up, "It all ends up blending together because you cannot do one without the other."
The Saldana family story exemplifies the power of family, both within our team and within one's own household. We're proud to have Amy and Chloe as part of the HOLT family, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed within our company.
