Peter Holt, CEO and Chairman of HOLT CAT, the San Antonio-based Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer, presented the Texas A&M-San Antonio Foundation a check for $500,000 to be used toward scholarships in San Antonio.
President Maria Ferrier and Mark Outlaw, chairman of the A&M-San Antonio Foundation, accepted the check from Holt, also the CEO and owner of Spurs Sports and Entertainment.
The $500,000 award is the largest gift to the foundation since A&M-San Antonio became a stand-alone university in 2009.
The A&M-San Antonio Foundation works to provide financial resources for students, according to the university’s website.
