A team of HOLT CAT San Antonio employees went to Boysville in Adkins, Texas on Saturday to help install permanent building signage to beautify the 78-acre campus. Boysville is home to children who are unable to live at home due to family disruption.
In addition to manpower, HOLT CAT brought heavy equipment to plant the signs, which are made of limestone with iron lettering. This volunteer-led project completed an effort to replace decades-old, weathered signs and restore the names of honored individuals from Boysville’s past.
“Many hands and the right equipment make light work, and we are grateful for the folks from HOLT CAT for sharing their Saturday with us to make life and the campus better for the Boysville family,” said Steve Herlich, Chief Philanthropy Officer for Boysville. “We want our kids, our staff and visitors to take pride in Boysville just as you would take pride in your own home.”

“The HOLT CAT family has a strong desire to give back to the community,” said Kathy Bower, Regional Sales Manager for HOLT CAT. “We see Boysville as an excellent opportunity to utilize our talents and equipment to give back in a way that saves them time and money so they can focus their efforts on taking care of the children.”

At Boysville, married couples live with the children in cottages, providing love, nurturing care, guidance and education.
“The purpose of Boysville is to provide these kids with a family, a future and a chance to grow into responsible adults,” Herlich said.
