HOLT CAT News

To address an ongoing skilled trades gap, HOLT formed an innovative and award-winning partnership with John A. Dubiski High School in Grand Prairie in 2012. Junior and senior students are offered paid internships and world-class training by pairing them with seasoned technicians in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and engines, including hydraulics, electronics, and diesel engines. The interns graduate from Dubiski with the basic skills in the heavy equipment industry required to join the workforce as entry-level technicians. In 2016, the program expanded to 9 more schools, and nearly 250 interns have started with HOLT, and most accept full time work when offered.
