HOLT CAT President Corinna Holt Richter wants her children to one day play their part in a century-long tradition.
Running a family-owned business is a blessing and a challenge that HOLT CAT President Corinna Holt Richter hopes her children will one day experience, she told a recent audience at the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
Richter's children are young, and as her 4-year-old son learns to read, he is starting to recognize his name painted on construction equipment around town.
"I’m like, 'No, that’s not yours,'" she said to laughter. "But maybe one day."
For now, Richter, who is also HOLT CAT's chief administrative officer, runs the San Antonio-based company alongside her brother, CEO Peter John Holt. The siblings are the fifth generation of Holts to run the company, which was founded on the late-19th century inventions of their great-great-grandfather Benjamin Holt.
