The HOLT student internship programs offers high school and college students firsthand experience in a wide variety of jobs that allow them to take a "test drive" in technical careers that they are interested in. At HOLT, you will find student interns working in machine and engine repair shops, parts distribution areas and in Information Technology.
Bryan Pinedo is an intern who has been part of our IT helpdesk since January. He is currently a senior at Southwest Highs School in San Antonio, Texas and is looking forward to a career in the Information Technology industry, with an eye on any opportunities at HOLT!
Although he has only been on the IT helpdesk job for about six months, Bryan gets satisfaction from being able to help employees resolve computer and other technology problems while getting firsthand workforce experience.
As the COVID pandemic progressed, many employees began working from home and Bryan was on the front line working to ensure employees had everything they needed for remote work. He also found himself setting up remote access, troubleshooting software and helping to manage a large inventory of computers, monitors and laptops. Without interns like Bryan, we would have a hard time meeting the needs of our customers.
When Bryan is not working he enjoys gaming, virtual reality activities, having fun with his little brother and taking care of his pets.
