Throughout Texas, youth are gearing up to exhibit their agricultural skills at junior livestock shows. After a year of caring for and preparing their animals for the livestock show, student exhibitors are eager to show off their skills and hoping to secure scholarships.

HOLT CAT and Texas First Rentals are proud sponsors of numerous events throughout the state, including the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and Rodeo Austin. HOLT is dedicated to supporting the youth through education. The scholarships and awards distributed through the competition and marketplace support thousands of students and allow them to continue their interests in college.

While thousands of student exhibitors travel to show their animals at the events, thousands more community members attend to support those students and enjoy food, entertainment and family-fun activities! Livestock shows and rodeos have become a family tradition for many, and we invite YOU to make your local rodeo part of yours. Rodeo grounds are full of rides, games and carnival food like turkey legs and cotton candy; and throughout the event you can find live music, local vendors and opportunities to interact with animals. And let’s not forget the exciting live action of bull riding, team roping and “mutton busting.”

According to Texas Youth Livestock and Agriculture (TYLA), more than 65,000 Texas youth are enrolled members of 4-H community clubs and participate in some way in local livestock shows and rodeos. Another 850,000 students get involved in 4-H through special educational opportunities at school, in after school programs, or at neighborhood or youth centers. By attending your local livestock show and rodeo, you’re supporting youth of Texas from all walks of life.

HOLT CAT and Texas First Rentals are proud to support the junior livestock show’s mission of supporting youth through education. Please join the HOLT CAT and Texas First Rentals teams to help give exhibitors the recognition they deserve.
