Corinna Holt Richter and Peter J. Holt
It’s been more than five years since brother and sister Peter J. Holt and Corinna Holt Richter took over the family business, Holt Cat, becoming the fifth generation to lead what has become a trucking and heavy-equipment giant.
That’s been more than enough time for them to leave their marks, leaning into new industries while keeping a foot in the company’s traditional core, including its chain of Caterpillar dealerships.
Under their guidance, in 2019, Holt Cat bought solar panel installer PCI Solar and turned it into a new division, Holt Renewables, which has since worked on solar projects across the U.S. In April, it announced that it would help design and build charging stations for the electric bus fleet for Austin’s public transit agency. Meanwhile, they have overseen the creation of a venture capital arm, Holt Ventures, investing in startups in industries such as construction, batteries and health care.
